I want to Thank Billy Walker for the song: "When A Man Loves A Woman" This was my husbands and my song. My son is a DJ and when we are at one of his gigs that is always the last song he plays as a tribute to his parents, so that we have that last dance.

I met Billy at the Grand Ole Opry, a year before the car accident.
He was someone I would like to meet again.
Fantastic singer / musician, O.K.
But above all, a fine man.

Billy Walker was a true gentleman and a great entertainer. I had the pleasure of introducing Billy in a live appearance in Colorado several years ago. Also on one occasion in Casper, Wyoming my wife and I actually sold Billy's music and photos, shirts, etc., when Betty was not with him. Billy wowed the crowd with his performance of "You Gave Me A Mountain'. I still play Billy's music often on a "Country Roots" program in Greeley, Colorado broadcast on Pirate Radio 104.7 which is streamed online.

Billy & Bettie took me under their wings back in 2003 while I was working on recording project with Ernie Ashworth. Billy told me how pleased he was to see a young country music singer so sharply dressed the night we performed in Tupelo for fairgrounds show. Bettie took my business card and contacted me 3 weeks later asking me if I'd like to appear in a video Billy was about to produce. Then, I got the news they had both been killed in an accident. I am still in shock and so sad over our loss. They were wonderful human beings and Billy's talent will withstand the test of time. We miss you both! There must be a grand ole opry up in heaven is all I can say.
